IC DESIGN TECH ("we") considers the proper handling of customers' personal information an important responsibility. We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information ("APPI") and other applicable laws, and set out our privacy policy as follows.

   We collect the following personal information.

   We do not collect or store card information such as credit card numbers (see section 5).

3. 3.Purposes of use

   We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes.

   • To answer and handle inquiries and consultations
   • To provide the contracted services (building, maintaining and operating websites and systems, etc.)
   • To bill and collect fees and to issue invoices and receipts
   • To send important notices about service changes, maintenance, outages and similar matters
   • To prevent abusive or fraudulent submissions of the contact form and keep the site secure

4. 4.Provision to third parties

   We do not provide personal information to third parties without your prior consent, except in the following cases.

   • When required by law
   • When necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain your consent
   • When necessary to cooperate with a national or local government body, or a party entrusted by one, in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining your consent is likely to impede those duties

   Where we entrust the handling of personal information to outside parties to the extent necessary for the purposes of use, see the next section.

5. 5.Service providers and external services

   To the extent necessary for the purposes of use, we entrust the handling of personal information to the following external services.

   • Stripe (payments): used for credit card payments. Card information is sent directly from you to Stripe; we do not store it, and it is managed by Stripe.
   • Resend (email delivery): used to deliver the contents of the contact form to us by email.
   • Vercel (hosting): used to publish and run this website; access logs (such as IP addresses) are processed on Vercel's servers.

   Provision to third parties in foreign countries (APPI Article 28)

   These providers are based in the United States, and personal information may be handled on servers in the United States and other foreign countries. We have confirmed, through their terms of service, data processing agreements and similar documents, that these providers have established the systems necessary to continuously take measures equivalent to those required of business operators under Chapter 4, Section 2 of the APPI (systems that meet the standards set by the rules of the Personal Information Protection Commission).

   We periodically check how these providers carry out those measures, and on your request we will provide information about the measures without delay.

6. 6.Cookies and similar technologies

   This website may use a cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember the display language you selected. It stores only the language setting and contains no information that identifies you. We also use the browser's session storage so that the logo animation on the home page plays only once.

   This website does not use analytics tools or cookies for advertising or behavioral targeting. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but your language setting may then not be kept.

7. 7.Security measures

   We take the following measures to prevent leakage, loss or damage of personal information and otherwise keep it secure.

   • Organizational measures: we have designated a person responsible for handling personal information and periodically review how it is handled.
   • Human measures: anyone who handles personal information is bound by confidentiality and its proper handling is checked.
   • Physical measures: we take steps to prevent theft or loss of devices used to handle personal information.
   • Technical measures: we use encrypted communication (HTTPS), manage access rights, and protect against unauthorized access and abusive form submissions.
   • Understanding the external environment: when entrusting personal information to providers in foreign countries, we take security measures based on an understanding of those countries' personal information protection systems.

8. 8.Requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, etc.

   If you request notification of the purposes of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion, suspension of use or erasure, suspension of provision to third parties, or disclosure of third-party provision records concerning retained personal data, we will verify your identity and respond without delay in accordance with the law.

9. 9.Revisions

   We may revise this policy in response to changes in laws, in our business or for other reasons. A revised policy takes effect when it is posted on this website, and the version posted on this website is always the current privacy policy.
